you never knew why you felt so good
in the strangest of places
like in waiting rooms
and long lines that make you late
and mall parking lots on holidays.

we can see the stars
from where the birds make their homes
staring back at us.
Indifferent
but distaned endlessly
it's so fucking beautiful.

There are no better words for the coast today,
then you ask what's a palisade
and if we're to late for happiness?

The Things They Carried

Wow, its been a while since I've been back.   Well lately I haven't been able to write anything that appeals to me.  I have all this great ideas in my head and I just can't seem to put them down on paper in a concrete manner.  Its driving me crazy.  I'm taking a creative writing class this summer. Hopefully, with a grade hanging over head, it'll force something out.

On the other hand.  You know when you found someone that makes you smile for absolutely no reason.  That's what Ryan does to me, and I feel extremely lucky.

Every one is starting to get a job at my work, which should make for an extremely fun summer. Not that it hasn't been so far. I got a new apartment last month, which makes expenses more difficult but I love it so its definitely worth it.  My room is about 3 times larger then my old room.  I've been watching a lot of movies lately, catching up on some old great movies and discovering some great indie flicks too.  I watched ROCK SCHOOL the other day. Great DOC.  I also checked out LOLLILOVE, funny spec. with no budget.  You can really tell that was made by writers, because the look isn't that great, but the story is so creatively unique it carries the entire movie very well.  They made some unique camera choices, which I think worked really well.  Plus it has great bonus features on how to get your scripts sold and your films made.   I'm looking forward to the new Michel Gondry movie, A SCIENCE OF SLEEPING.  I'm also going to try to catch the O in Ohio this week, before it goes away.  O and lets not forget CLERKS 2 comes out on Friday, hopefully that won't fall short.   I'm bummed cause I couldn't get tix to the Q & A at the arclight but its ok, I guess.

Keep the lovely weather coming.

He makes me smile

So I think I've rescheuled my shoot about 4 times now.  The first time I didn't get my permits on time.  The next two times it rained so there was only so much we could do.  And now, that the day is excellent and our shots are looking amazing, Some dumb old lady falls off her scooter and we have to leave because there are cops everywhere and ofcourse I couldn't get permits on such short notice.  I hope I don't fail on my portfolio.  Thank god for Ray who new what kind of shots I wanted to the point. My actors are amazing.  Back at work now. Haven't slept a full 6 hours in about three weeks, and it seems that  I'm not going to till spring break.

I can 't decide who to do my rock and roll history project on.  Its a documentary.  As of now its between Rilo Kiley ( which I love), Elliot Smith ( which I think everyone should now about), or Tegan and Sara which has been my favorite band for the last 2 years.  Some one help me decide.

Ryan is amazing, he makes the day so difficult cuase I miss him all day long.  I'm so thankfull he choose me.  Last night we saw this awsome flick, THE HEART IS DICITRFULL ABOVE ALL THINGS.  It had a veriaty of different styles.  Everyone should check it out.

Well I'm off to work.

It's amazing how much your life can change in a week. I think I've reached the point in my life where I'm absolutly content with everthing. I love every single person, and the work is starting to seem seemless. I appreatiate everything for what it is. I think I finally understand my art, and its exciting. I have a boy, who when I listen to a sad song, I don't see us there; and it makes me smile.

Today I found out I wasn't going to be able to shot my short this weekend. I hate permits. So I have to reschedule for march 11. Not happy, but I should have known Sunday night when my actress bailed on me. So now, I really just don't want to do this project anymore. Not that I was convinced 100 percent to begin with, but might as well. but some one help me, I'm losing my mind.
